Yao Ming retires after Team UGC member blocks game winning shot

Yao Ming retires from the NBA after one of Team UGC members blocks his game winning shot in a wax museum in New York with everyone in amazement. No really an honestly I blocked his shot look at the pic.

Realistically Yao Ming has retired from the NBA. Often injury plagued the 7-foot-6 center informed the NBA league office and the Rockets that he was walking away from the game that made him a worldwide star. He was set to become a free agent once the league's lockout ends after earning $93 million dollars over his career with the Rockets. Yao, 30 yeas old had a season-ending procedure to repair a stress fracture in his left ankle in January and said at his news conference that it forced him to retire. Yao No. 1 overall draft pick in 2002 finished his NBA career averaging 19.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 486 games.

Thanks for the memories Yao Ming.

UGC participates in Cancer walk with the Brooklyn Cyclones

On July 3rd Team UGC went to participate in the Cancer walk that was being held by the Brooklyn Cyclones at MCU Park in Coney Island. Despite the rain there was a big turn out of runners and walkers ready to conquer the day. After the run and walk Cyclones players came out to take pictures and sign autographs along with Pee-Wee and Sandy the mascots. Everyone completed there missions even during the pouring rain but it was for a good cause and what better reason not be involved to help bring awareness to cancer.
