Dominique "Fallen Angel" Robinson is now sponsored by The Underground Clown

The Underground Clown would like to welcome Dominque "Fallen Angel" Robinson to Team UGC.

Dominique is a young up and coming fighter who's origins lie in the deep south of Louisiana. He is known to have booked all his own fights, searched out his own sponsors, promoted his own career, as well as trained himself for the duration of his career by offering his body to other fighters in order to learn himself.

He began his training at American Kickboxing Academy under the tutelege of Bob Cook, only to leave when Frank Shamrock had a falling out with the gym. After spliting with Frank he began to offer himself up as a training partner of the Cesar Gracie Fight Team and Urijah Faber's Team Alpha Male.

To start his career Dominique fought in the shadows of Mexico as well as Texas (where he amassed a 10-0 ameteur record, as well as fighting to a draw with undefeated Issac De Jesus in Stockton, CA) where he garnered the reputation as a knockout artist before turing pro against Jeff Ramputi in late 2005. Prior to his May 2009 match with Carlo Prater, Dominique had only suffered two controversial losses, one to Iure Silva in Mexico where the referee forced Dominique's corner men to make him move when he didn't need to and the time keeper hid the clock and went over the round by one minute resulting in Dominique being caught in a Neck Crank. The other was to John Reedy in Visalia, California where Reedy continually grabbed the cage without penalty and was given a four minute rest between rounds with his corner men allowed to stay in the cage with him, all the while Dominique was in a neutral corner. The break was said to be for a torn glove that was never seen by anyone. The promoter, not the athletic commission, went and got a new glove from the back room.

Currently Dominique has one trainer, Felipe Martinez, who he works his Boxing with, and calls his 2 man band the "Goon Squad," as he goes where he can seeking knowledge to take his MMA game to a new level. He is currently the only fighter ever to have studied under both the Shamrock (Frank) and the Gracie (Cesar) family.

Robinson next took part in a bout to decide the PFC Lightweight Champion at PFC 13: Validation. He fought WEC veteran Carlo Prater, losing via unanimous decision.

Only fighting once in 2009, Robinson returned in 2010 to face off against The Ultimate Fighter 5 alumni Gabe Ruediger in a lightweight bout at a Tachi Palace Fights (TPF) event on February 4, 2010, titled TPF 3: Champions Collide. Ruediger was on a four-fight win streak. Ruediger landed a Spinning Back Fist early in the second round, where he transitioned to a Rear Naked Choke, defeating Robinson.

He returned in 2010 at TPF 5: Stars and Strikes, where he faced off against The Ultimate Figter alumni David Kaplan. He defeated Kapan with Elbows in the third round.
